This was Danielle’s childhood home which we updated over the years from 2012 to 2019. As the house was built in the late 1980s, many features were brought up to code. It was essentially a brand new house in an established neighborhood with large lots, many trees, and no HOA.

The house received new flooring, new paint (Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray), a new HVAC unit and many rustic details throughout. We opened up the kitchen by removing small cabinets over the sink and raising the ceiling, then upgraded the cabinets, countertops and appliances.

The master bathroom was a fun project to tackle. In the original floor plan, the first floor half bath had two doors: one from the hallway that guests would use and one from the master bathroom that the head of household would use to get to a toilet. Yes, the master bathroom technically did not have its own toilet. First we relocated the laundry room from the hallway to the garage so that we could turn the hallway into a new half bath. Part of the old half bath was utilized for a new water closet in the master bathroom and the other half allowed for expansion of the master closet as well as the old laundry room space.
