We connected with this client through our friends at CrossCountry Mortgage as he was purchasing two lots on the same street in downtown Summerville, one to be his primary residence and the other to be an investment property. He came to us with a pretty neat floor plan, that we would soon start calling The Treehouse. As a car enthusiast with some antique cars in his collection, he focused on a ground floor garage with a small 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage on the second floor. 

The lot he selected for this plan was beautiful, with large trees to provide the perfect canopy, but this would mean we had our work cut out for us with the tree protection board. It took shrinking the footprint of the home, certified arborist letters and many visits to the tree protection board meetings over the course of three months to receive their approval before moving onto the building department who completed the permit process in one month. 

We were finally able to being building in mid-November of 2023 and completed the project at the beginning of July 2024.
