TRAVIS MERCER | Owner and Founder, Licensed Contractor

Beginning with the opportunity to volunteer at the Salkehatchie Summer Service helping repair and upgrade homes, Travis has been in the construction business since 2006. Working under several specialty contractors, he narrowed his skills to building custom cabinetry and honed in on finishing work. Before branching off on his own full time in 2017, he spent the previous 5 years familiarizing himself with the process of insurance work and added multiple full room renovations and flip houses to his resume. In his spare time, Travis enjoys renovating his forever home, antiquing with his wife, playing catch with their lab Jake, and hunting.

DANIELLE MERCER | Owner, Notary Public

Self taught in the world of social media and blogging, along with formal marketing training, Danielle was thrilled to appoint herself as the marketing coordinator when HPH was launched, building a digital footprint for the company. She worked along Travis for about a year as a Realtor before returning to healthcare as the Administrative Assistant for HCA Healthcare Physician Services Group. However, you may still see her offering up design ideas on a job site from time to time, especially if the clients have pups. Danielle graduated from the Summerville Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Dorchester program in 2021 where she served as the Project Leader for their three community service projects. Since graduation, she has launched a volunteer network called Volunteer in the Ville which connects residents interested in volunteering with local nonprofits in need of help. In her free time she enjoys reading, antiquing, creating honey-do lists for Travis, spoiling Jake, line dancing, attending country concerts and deer hunting.

RICK CORNMAN | Lead Carpenter

From building homes in Denver, CO to repairing hurricane damaged hotels in the islands, Rick has formed an extensive knowledge of construction over the past 40+ years. He most recently worked with Travis at another remodeling company before retiring and coming to Heart Pine Homes part time.
